2022 Head of the Occoquan
Saturday, November 5, 2022: Racing consists of Collegiate 8+ and 4+ and all Singles (1x) and Masters Sculling events. For the Collegiate Junior Varsity events, a team must first enter a varsity boat in order to qualify for the Junior Varsity.

Sunday, November 6, 2022: HOTO consists of Club, Junior, Masters Sweep events and Sculling Mixed events.

Parking
Please note the change from last year: only coaches and rowers are allowed to park at Sandy Run Regional Park. All spectators, except for handicapped, must park at South County High School and take the shuttle to the park. More info below.
ONSITE PARKING – rowers and coaches only ($30 cash)
Onsite parking is for rowers and coaches only. Those competing must have priority getting into the park. All cars will be charged $30 (cash only) for parking onsite. No charge for cartoppers, team buses, and team vans carrying 10 or more people.
Once the onsite parking fills up, you will be directed to park at South County High School to park (free) and take a shuttle to the park ($10 per person, 12 years old and under free). Allow at least 40 minutes travel time. South County High school is located at 8501 Silverbrook Rd., Lorton, Virginia 22079 – please follow the direction of the parking attendants. There are no restroom facilities available at South County High School.
The rower drop-off/pick-up location is between C and D parking lots - follow the parking staff’s directions. Parents/spectators must drop off their rowers and go to South County High School to park - then take the shuttle back in to watch the racing. There must be good coordination for rower drop-off and pick-up - there is no place for parents to wait for their athletes. Pick up timing must be arranged in advance.
OFF SITE PARKING – shuttle bus for all spectators ($10 cash)
Spectators must park at South County High School at 8501 Silverbrook Rd., Lorton, VA 22079 and take the shuttle. Allow for 40 minutes of travel time from parking at SoCo to arriving at Sandy Run Park. The cost of the Shuttle is $10 paid (cash only) at South County for the round trip.

EVERYONE DRIVING INTO THE PARK OR PARKING AT SOCO HIGH SCHOOL MUST FOLLOW THE PARKING ATTENDANTS’ INSTRUCTIONS AND PAY THE PARKING/SHUTTLE FEE.
The park requires that trailers and out of town crew report their transportation plans prior to arriving.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS - TRAILERS
*Trailers will be allowed to park Friday, 11/4/22, 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. After 7 p.m. the park will close and gates will be locked.
*Trailers must arrive Saturday, 11/5/22, from 6 a.m. until 7 a.m. OR between 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
*Trailers must arrive on Sun 11/6/22, from 6 a.m until 7 a.m.
DO NOT ARRIVE ANY OTHER TIME - YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY.
