New Member Orientation

Prospective members schedule an orientation meeting with club Director of Membership or another Board member. The session takes about an hour and covers club and park policies as well as a competency test. New members will be asked to:

Members must show that they can scull competently and move shells in and out of the racks without damaging them.

OBC does not administer a flip test, as swimming is not allowed in the reservoir.

Prospective members should look over the OBC Handbook, Know Before You Row, and Code of Conduct before orientation.
