COMPETITOR AREA
Welcome
to the Head of the Occoquan. We strongly urge you to review the
new course and schedule information. Should you have any questions
please contact our registration services by clicking here. Feel
free to review some of the many changes!
A New Waiver and Roster
Process
The Head
of the Occoquan uses the RONIN Waiver Attestation System. Sign your
waiver ONCE for the season and YOU DO
NOT have to bring a waiver on-site.
Make it
easy on yourself, have you, your parents or your teammates go to http://www.rowingwaiver.com/!
Rowers can sign their waiver once for over 40 regattas! Better
yet, by signing up your waiver online you can also have your name
put on your coaches online roster!
Online
registration will require you or your coach to provide the email address
of EACH competitor so we may confirm that they have completed their
waiver online.
If you
are prepared to provide us with your roster, event choices and billing
information, you can start your registration for the HOTO right here.
New Event Schedule
A new
schedule has been designed to allow competitors more flexibility and
allow teams to reuse the same equipment several times. Take a look right
here.
New Events and Event
Definitions
A new
event list has been created and new masters and recreational events have
been added. Please note the rules in regards to recreational and club
boats! The event list is located right here.
New, Better defined course map
Be
prepared for a whole new
launching and return pattern. Unlike previous years, returning and
departing traffic will no longer meet each other on the
water.
We are
also requiring ALL crew to have coaches and/or team assistants on hand
to deliver and remove the oars from all docks. Oars must be in hand or
brought with you AS you enter the dock area.
